Two interlocking white stucco volumes with larges swathes of white stucco removed create a glowing lantern effect with large glazed openings surrounded with warm wood siding and patterned Spanish tile. The interlocking of the two volumes creates a large second floor terrace and an elevated bridge connecting the two sections of the house. A skylight from the second floor roof pours light down into the kitchen below through a faceted light-well while sloped cathedral ceilings guide you through the main circulation of the second floor. A solid walnut stair with a chrome floor to ceiling guard rail act as a focal point at the entry and bench seating. Large pairs of sliding doors open up the living room to the outdoor deck and pool area where an elongated planter and water feature integrated into the pool construction creates a backdrop to the outdoor space. The cantilevered decking into the tanning ledge produces a seamless transition into the pool.
